Akshay Kumar reveals about his upcoming movie on Rakha Bandhan

On this auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan, Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar, who is on a juggernaut run at the box office, has announced about his upcoming movie, named after the festival itself. The occasion is known for the celebration of the ‘most special bond in the world’, that is the bond between a brother and sister. This movie, “Raksha Bandhan”, as it is rightly named, too is expected to mark by the special bond shared by the two siblings.

Akshay Kumar took a take in his twitter to share the first poster of the movie “Raksha Bandhan”. In that very poster, Akshay’s character was seen hugging his siblings in a warm embrace. Along with that, he also flashes his attractive smile. He has even added that this movie is going to be one of the most special films for him.
Directed by filmmaker Aanand L. Rai, the movie “Raksha Bandhan” is co-presented with Alka Hiranandani. The scriptwriter of the movie, “Raksha Bandhan” is Himanshu Sharma. The production will be done by Colour Yellow Production in association with Cape of Good Films.
Aanand L. Rai has also described Raksha Bandhan as a movie that celebrates the “relationships in the most beautiful way,” as reported by PTI. He also added that he is excited to collaborate with Akshay Kumar, whom he even denoted as “talented actor”. “Raksha Bandhan” is the second collaboration of director Aanand L Rai with the actor. The other movie where the two shard their collaboration is “Atrangi re”.
Other collaborations after “Raksha Bandhan”
“Atrangi re” is the other movie that will be starring Sara Ali Khan and South Indian star Dhanus, other than Akshay Kumar. Also, there are either other upcoming movies that have been lined up that are yet to be released including Bell Bottom, Atrangi Re, Bachchan Pandey, Suryavanshi, Laxmmi Bomb and Prithviraj.
Akshay Kumar says he has dedicated his movie to his sister and he added the statement “It makes me happiest that my sister Alka is presenting and producing this film along with Aanand L. Rai. Can’t thank him enough for bringing me one of the most special films of my life” “Raksha Bandhan” is the only movie where he was the quickest to sign as Akshay Kumar has added.

Akshay’s sister, Alka Hiranandani spoke up about her “greatest gift” from Raju (She calls Akshay by the name Raju). She also mentioned how her parents used to insist to take Akshay everywhere she goes. But Akshay would never go with her. Instead, he would say, “You have to take care of your own safety.” She also added how she missed many parties just because of this.
Alka also mentioned how Akshay had “quietly” took up the responsibility of the entire family after their father passed away. It was after, Alka’s daughter Simar grew up and went abroad for higher studies, she understood why would Akshay kept on saying about her safety. “This has been the greatest gift my brother has given to me and my daughter – The strength to be self-sufficient. Thank you, Raju. I love you,” she also added.
Apart from the movies and celebration, Akshay has also been actively fighting against the prevailing Covid-19 Pandemic. He has been flying in private jets for his upcoming shoots. However, “Raksha Bandhan” is going to release on 5th November 2021.
Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is an annual ceremony, celebrated by Hindus in the entire country. It is believed that this Rakha Bandhan is generally celebrated to mark an auspicious day where a rakhi is tied by the sisters around the wrists of their brothers. It symbolizes that brothers are always ready to protect their sisters, whenever they are in need. From celebrities to common people, everyone enjoys this occasion by exchanging gifts amongst each other.
