Kesari was released in the year 2019, starring Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as the main character of Havaldar Ishar Singh. This is among one of the patriotic movies which are based on a historical event. Written and directed by Anurag Singh, the patriotic movie talks about the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi, which was a battle between 21 soldiers of the 36th Sikhs of the British Indian Army and more than ten thousand Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in the year 1897.
The Ghazi Attack (2017)
The Ghazi Attack is one of the Patriotic movies which has been inspired by the true events that follows the war between India and Pakistan in the year 1971. The story revolves around an executive naval officer and his team comprising of Indian Submarine. The entire team remain underwater for 18 days to continue with the battle.

Released in the year 2019, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is a biographical patriotic movie based on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi, whose character has been played by Kangana Ranaut. This movie was directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi and was produced by Zee Studios, Kamal Jain, and Nishant Pitti.
