Crispy Tofu Tacos



  • 4 cups tofu 
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • ½ cup cornflour
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tbsp salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ tbsp pepper
  • oil
  • 2 spring onions 
  • Coriander powder and leaves 
  • ¼ cup yogurt
  • corn tortillas
  • shredded cheese
  • chopped tomato
  • sweet corn
  • chopped onion
  • lemon juice


  1. First, Cut the tofu into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine the Sriracha and honey, and gently toss the tofu.
  3. Take another bowl, add cornmeal, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, minced garlic, and pepper.
  4. Now, toss the tofu in this dry mixture well.
  5. In a pan, heat the oil on medium flame. Add them and saute the mixture till it turns crispy.
  6. Now, add spring onions, coriander leaves, and yogurt in a blender.

  • Olive oil 
  • Tofu
  • Red chili powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

For makhani curry

  • Olive oil
  • 2 cloves 
  • Cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger paste
  • 2 onions finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato finely chopped
  • Tomato paste
  • ½ tbsp turmeric powder 
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder 
  • 2 ½ cups vegetable stock
  • Some raw cashews
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped for garnish



  1. Mix all the ingredients except the tofu.
  2. Now, coat it with the marinade and fry it in a heated oil pan till it turns golden brown.

For makhani curry

  1. Heat the oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, and when they sputter add cloves and cinnamon powder. Saute for a minute or two. 
  2. Add onions and saute until the onions start to brown, for 6-8 minutes. Now, add ginger paste, minced garlic, and raw cashews and saute for a while.
  3. Then, add tomatoes and tomato paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder.
  4. Saute the mixture well. Also add some vegetable stock and cook it for some time.
  5. Once you cook the mixture well and tomatoes are soft, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool. Now, pour the mixture into a blender and add a cup of vegetable stock. Blend to make a smooth paste. 
  6. Now, pour the blended paste back into the saucepan and turn on the heat. Add some vegetable stock if the mixture is thick, and bring to a simmer. Then, add the tofu cubes and stir them. Now, add salt to taste. 
  7. Add the butter and stir it to melt the butter into the sauce.
  8. Also, add some lemon juice, mix well, garnish with coriander leaves, and serve hot with some boiled rice or naan.


Tofu Stir Fry Recipe

  • 2 cups tofu
  • cubed onion-1
  • cubed tomato-1
  • Chopped capsicum-1
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tbsp garam masala
  • Curry leaves 
  • ½ tbsp pepper


  1. Heat oil in a pan for 5-6 minutes and then fry tofu till it turns golden brown.
  2. In another pan, heat some oil and add cumin seeds, minced garlic and curry leaves and saute them for a while.
  3. Add onions, tomato, capsicums and saute them.
  4. Now, add garam masala, coriander powder, red chili powder and mix it all well.
  5. Add tofu and cook for 3-4 minutes
  6. Serve hot with naan, rice or roti.
  7. You can also add lemon juice just to give it a tangy taste.

Vegan Tofu Burger

  • 2 cups tofu
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 3 green onions (diced)
  • Wheat germ-2 tbsp
  • Flour-2 tbsp
  • Garlic minced-2 tbsp
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • pepper
  • Oil for frying


  1. Gather ingredients. First, make sure your tofu is well pressed and drained.
  2. Now, gently mash into small crumbles in a large bowl.
  3. Add the diced onions, diced green onions, wheat germ, flour, minced garlic, soy sauce, and a dash of pepper into the bowl along with the tofu and mix to combine well.
  4. Then, gently form the tofu mixture into patties.
  5. Press everything together to form round patties about 1-inch thick.

  • 3 cups tofu
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 3 tbsp curd
  • Red chili powder
  • ½ tbsp ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp garlic paste
  • ½ tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • refined oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Cut tofu into cubes.
  2. Apply some salt on their pieces and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix gram flour, curd, red chili powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, coriander powder.
  4. Add salt and water to make a thick batter of it.
  5. Dip their pieces in the batter and deep fry it in hot oil. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or any sauce or chutney of your choice.

  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • capsicum finely chopped
  • 2 green chili finely chopped
  • ½ tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • Cumin seeds- 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder- 1/2 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder- 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder- 1/2 tbsp
  • Oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoon coriander leaves, chopped
  • salt to taste


  1. Firstly, scramble the tofu.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add cumin and wait till they sputter.
  4. Now, add onions and fry till they turn brownish.
  5. Add ginger paste and green chilies and saute for a while.
  6. Also, add tomatoes and saute till the tomatoes become soft.
  7. Then, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and coriander powder.
  8. Add the scrambled tofu and mix it all well.
  9. Saute for 5-6 minutes and then add salt to taste.
