Israel, a Middle Eastern country on the Mediterranean Sea consists of one of the most beautiful women in the world. There are many models who are famous for their looks along with their witty brains. For every Yael Shelbia, Bar Refaeli, Esti Ginzburg, and Sarai Givaty in the modelling industry, there are hundreds of other anonymous beautiful faces—working-class models. The models make a comfortable living behind relative anonymity. They walk runway shows, along with shoot catalogues, others work for brands’ models or mood shots commissioned by photo agencies that are later sold to publications and advertisers to illustrate their message or sell their product.

 1) Yael Shelbia

The nineteen-year-old has been named the most beautiful woman in the world by TC Candler and the Independent Critics.  The group has placed the model and actress at the top of the 2020 instalment of their highly anticipated list of the 100 most beautiful faces in the world.

In 2017, Shelbia placed 14th on the list. Since then, Shelbia has modelled for Kim Kardashian’s KKW Beauty and is currently serving in the Israeli air force as part of her compulsory military service.

Since 1990, TC Candler has worked with the Independent Critics Association to publish its annual list. By sifting through thousands of celebrities worldwide, Candler aimed to create a “list of beauty icons that represent the modern ideal of global beauty.” Aesthetic perfection is just one of the criteria. A beautiful face embodies grace, elegance, originality, daring, passion, class, poise, joy, promise, and hope.

 

2) Bar Refaeli

Model, TV host, businesswoman, and actress Bar Refaeli hails from Israel. Modeling for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2009 and being voted No. 1 by Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list in 2012, she is one of Israel’s most internationally successful models. Currently, Refaeli hosts The X Factor Israel and co-hosts the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.

It was estimated that her net worth was US$20 million in 2015 based on her modelling and investment careers. By 2013, she ranked as the highest-paid model in Israel.

Refaeli helped reduce the use of plastic bags in Israel during a campaign. In 2009, she led an unpaid campaign on behalf of the Israel Water Authority on water conservation and usage.

 

3)Esti Ginzburg

Esti Ginzburg-Keizman, born on 6 March 1990, is a fashion model from Israel. Lola has modelled for Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry, FCUK, Pull and Bear and Castro. In the 2009, 2010, and 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue she was also featured. In addition to that, Forbes Israel ranked her #1 on a list of the top ten highest-paid models in Israel.

Ginzburg was born on 6 March 1990 to a family of Holocaust survivors. Her father, Shlomo Ginzburg, was a physicist, who taught at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her mother, Esther Keizman-Ginzburg is an art historian and conservator at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. She has a brother, and they are the grandchildren of Polish-Jewish Holocaust survivor, Jakub Keizman.Ginzburg was born in Tel Aviv to a family of Holocaust survivors. Her father, Shlomo Ginzburg, was a physicist who taught at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her mother is an art historian and conservator at Israel.

Esti Ginzburg volunteers at Hayim Association, which works to provide relief and support to children in Israel diagnosed with cancer.

 

4)Sarai Givaty

Sarai Givaty is an Israeli actress, singer, songwriter and model. People know this musician by her stage name, ESH.   Sarai Givaty was born in 1964 at Tiberias, Israel. Her family has a tradition of Sephardic Jews which extends back to the late 1600s. Her parents are Edna and Eliyahu Givaty. She has two sisters, one currently married to Israeli actor Guy Arieli.Kira Givaty was born in 1990 in Tel-Aviv, Israel, and moved to the US after graduating from high school.

She claims she was discharged from the Israel Defense Forces after serving for several days due to severe allergies caused by dust. Givaty’s first acting role was in a live sketch on the Israeli tonight show (Kol Layla) where she played an American reporter. The segment was very successful. On the final show, Israeli critic Raana Shacked called it “the pick of the show,” and after moving to New York City, Givaty attended acting school at HB Studios.

Even though she was busy, she became heavily involved in the cast and crew of films and TV shows.

In 2005 Givaty was awarded the “Best Teen Show of The Year” by Israel Golden Screen Award (Masah Hazahav) as one of the hosts of Exit on Arutz 10.Shortly thereafter, Givaty has big name recognition from the Israeli entertainment industry and has been featured with multiple brands.

 

5) Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot was born on April 30, 1985 and is an Israeli actress, producer, and model. Diana also portrays Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. After having roles in several television shows and films in the 2000s and 2010s, she skyrocketed to fame with her portrayal of the DC superhero, Wonder Woman

After winning the Miss Israel pageant Gadot went on to model and continued throughout her service in the military. Afterwards, she went back to school to study law and international relations.Gadot made the transition from modelling to acting, making her debut in 2007 as Bubot (pronounced Brow-bot)  in an Israeli TV show.

Her first major Hollywood break came in Fast & Furious (2009) when she was cast as former Mossad agent and weapons expert Gisele Yashar. She appeared in Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Furious 7 (2015). Gadot did much of her own stunt work in her action-packed thriller. During this time, she also played minor roles in other films and worked on television.
